Recap: Regents Lions vs. Fayette Academy Vikings
The Regents Lions lost against the Fayette Academy Vikings back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Regents was the victim of a tough 51-26 loss at the hands of Fayette Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Regents in their matchups with Fayette Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Fayette Academy found their leader in underclassman Clay Anderson, who scored 21 points. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Kahne Dozier was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Regents now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Fayette Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regents will square off against Lafayette at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Fayette Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against University School of Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. University School of Jackson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fayette Academy in Tennessee (University School of Jackson is ranked 92nd, while Fayette Academy is ranked 310th).
