Basketball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Mary Central Catholic lost against Margaretta back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers were beaten by the Margaretta Polar Bears 72-41. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

St. Mary Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Margaretta, their win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary Central Catholic will welcome Gibsonburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Margaretta, they will square off against Willard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Willard's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
