Basketball Recap: Bellingham Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Bellingham Bayhawks were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to the Overlake Owls. The Bayhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellingham's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Overlake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellingham will take on Nooksack Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Nooksack Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Overlake, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Eastside Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
