Softball Recap: Ursuline Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ursuline can now relate to. They fell 5-1 to the Holy Name Green Wave on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Fighting Irish couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ursuline has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Holy Name, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Ursuline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holy Name, they will take on Tallmadge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Green Wave's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
