Football Game Preview: Indio Rajahs vs. West Valley Mustangs

The Indio Rajahs will head out to take on the West Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Indio, who comes in off a win.

Indio is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against San Gorgonio by a score of 27-16 on Friday.

A big part of Indio's victory came down to the chemistry between Damiano Durinzi and his top target Adam Tremper. Durinzi gained 119 total yards and three touchdowns while Tremper rushed for 84 yards.

Indio was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, West Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Twentynine Palms. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Indio, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Indio was dealt a bruising 48-14 loss at the hands of West Valley in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Rajahs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
