The Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They strolled past Riverside with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Barack Obama School for Social Justice also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice was led to victory by Dontaye Dunkle Jr. and Seediya Jabbi. Dunkle Jr. scored 15 points along with 3 steals, while Jabbi scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Another player making a difference was Elvin Adrian, who scored 1 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice will head out on the road to face off against Dobbs Ferry at 4:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Leffell School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
