After only one run in their last game, Juniata Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Curwensville on Thursday. The Juniata Valley Hornets blew past the Curwensville Golden Tide 12-4. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Tide, too.
Braelyn Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Kassidy Watson was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Chassity Houck was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
The victory got Juniata Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Curwensville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Coming up, Juniata Valley will face off against Mount Union at 4:30 p.m. on March 27th. As for Curwensville, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Brookville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
