Soccer Recap: McNairy Central Takes a Loss

McNairy Central entered their contest against Sycamore on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bobcats came up short against the War Eagles, falling 5-2. The matchup was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but McNairy Central couldn't quite close it out.

Claire Cooper and Mary Kate Austin scored both of McNairy Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

McNairy Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Sycamore, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

McNairy Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sycamore, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Fairview on the 23rd.
