Pell City entered their tilt with Lincoln on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Golden Bears a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Pell City's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Lincoln are ranked 124th).

Pell City pushed their record up to 14-3-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pell City will head out to challenge Helena at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
