Baseball Recap: Marist Triumphs

While Marist's win against St. Patrick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The RedHawks had just enough and edged out the Shamrocks 5-3. The RedHawks haven't had any issues with the Shamrocks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Ryan Rosas tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emmitt Senger, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was John McAuliffe, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for St. Patrick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

Marist will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Shamrocks: the pair will be back at it again later today.
