Basketball Recap: Ludlow Comes Up Short

Ludlow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 72-52 to the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 76-44 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ludlow's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Newport Central Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

Ludlow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-17 win against Williamstown on the 28th. As for Newport Central Catholic, they will head out to challenge Beechwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Newport Central Catholic is facing Beechwood at the right time seeing as Beechwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
