Preview: Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles vs. Arrowhead Christian Eagles
The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Arrowhead Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capistrano Valley Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Capistrano Valley Christian stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Trinity Classical Academy 47-7 on the road. Given Capistrano Valley Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Trinity Classical Academy is ranked 907th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
JP Synnott went supernova for Capistrano Valley Christian, rushing for 184 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Max Krosky also helped out with an impressive 102 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-18 victory over Riverside Prep at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arrowhead Christian.
Connor Thuilliez was on fire: he rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 167 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Caden Rossi also helped out as he racked up 124 rushing yards.
Their wins bumped Capistrano Valley Christian to 7-1 and Arrowhead Christian to 8-1.
Everything came up roses for Capistrano Valley Christian against Arrowhead Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 44-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Capistrano Valley Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
