Baseball Recap: Foothills Christian Takes a Loss

Foothills Christian lost against Escondido Charter last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Foothills Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jr Merino, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Foothills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Escondido Charter, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Foothills Christian will take on Calvin Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Escondido Charter, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Army-Navy at 3:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
