Baseball Recap: Bruce Comes Up Short

Bruce lost against New Site last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bruce Trojans lost 13-1 to the New Site Royals. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bruce saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cane Necaise, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Sutton Gore also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bruce's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for New Site, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruce will head out to face off against Houlka at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Site, they will head out on the road to square off against New Albany at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Site is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
