Rowan County is 9-1 against Lewis County since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rowan County Vikings will head out to take on the Lewis County Lions at 6:30 p.m. Rowan County will be strutting in after a win while Lewis County will be coming in after a loss.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Rowan County and Menifee County, and Rowan County kept the tradition alive. Rowan County put the hurt on Menifee County with a sharp 16-1 victory on Tuesday.

Bram Bloomfield looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Rowan County let Aaron Pennington and Will Richardson run wild. Pennington went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Richardson went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Pennington has posted since back in March of 2024. Brody Lykins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Rowan County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Menifee County only posted an OBP of .250.

Meanwhile, Lewis County didn't have quite enough to beat East Carter on Monday and fell 5-4. The Lions have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Braxton Egbert made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyran Ferguson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Lewis County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rowan County, their record now sits at 2-0.

Rowan County took their win against Lewis County when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 19-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rowan County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
