Softball Recap: Central Bucks East Find Success

Central Bucks East gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a run and slipped past the New Hope-Solebury Lions 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Hailey Helmstetter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Anna Devine was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Central Bucks East's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for New Hope-Solebury, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Central Bucks East will challenge Springfield Township at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Hope-Solebury, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Council Rock North at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
