Football Recap: Rock Ridge Takes a Loss

Rock Ridge fell victim to Wakefield and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors.

Nesai Phok threw for 113 yards on nine of 17 attempts. Lucious Taet was his top target, picking up 96 receiving yards. On the ground, Xavier Smith rushed for 40 yards.

Judah Connor was a one-man wrecking crew For Wakefield. as he threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and one TD. Those 304 passing yards gave Connor a new career-high.

Rock Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wakefield, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Rock Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 37-10 loss against Freedom on the 12th. As for Wakefield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 34-20 win against Lewis on the 12th.
