Volleyball Recap: Granville Blue Aces vs. Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies
Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies, falling 3-0. The Blue Aces were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Johnnies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
While Granville was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-23.
Granville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Johnstown-Monroe, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granville is on the road again on Tuesday to play Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they will take on Utica at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
