Softball Recap: Wheaton North Finds Playoff Glory Versus Batavia

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wheaton North had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Batavia Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Hannah Wulf's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Wheaton North's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Abby Del Preto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
