Volleyball Game Preview: Merino Rams vs. Stratton Eagles

The Merino Rams will head out to challenge the Stratton Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Merino had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Caliche on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Buffaloes 3-0.

Meanwhile, Stratton came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Merino's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Stratton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Merino beat Stratton 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
