Baseball Game Preview: Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones vs. Sullivan East Patriots

For the first time this season, Elizabethton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Monday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Sullivan East Patriots at 5:00 p.m.

Last Friday, neither Elizabethton nor Concord Christian could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Fighting Cyclones were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, while Sullivan East put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Volunteer. Everything went Sullivan East's way against Volunteer as Sullivan East made off with a 13-0 win. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win got Sullivan East back to even at 3-3. Elizabethton's draw makes their record 1-3-1 this season.

Elizabethton skirted past Sullivan East 13-12 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elizabethton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
