Northside waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Waukegan Bulldogs. The Mustangs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Mustangs were just returning the favor.

Northside didn't let Waukegan take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Waukegan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will host North Grand at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Waukegan, they will welcome Lake Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
