Basketball Recap: St. Luke's Comes Up Short

St. Luke lost against Canterbury School back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. Luke's Storm fell 76-66 to the Canterbury School Saints.

Despite the defeat, St. Luke's saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Newsom went 7-for-13 to rack up 17 points along with eight boards and four blocks. The contest was Newsom's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan BienAime, who went 6-for-11 en route to 14 points.

St. Luke's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Canterbury School, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

St. Luke's has already played their next match (against Rye Country Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Canterbury School will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kingswood Oxford at 5:30 p.m. on February 26th.
