Basketball Recap: Golda Meir Starts Season with Win at Home

Golda Meir took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They blew past the North Blue Devils 82-57.

When it comes to explaining why North lost, don't look at Antonio Erving. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-10 to rack up 14 points and three steals. Erving is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Shevez Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

North now has a losing record of 1-2.

Golda Meir does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North, they will head out on the road to challenge Milwaukee Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
