Football Game Preview: Blair Academy Bucs vs. Peddie Falcons

The Blair Academy Bucs will face off against the Peddie Falcons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Blair Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 win over Hill School. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bucs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 126th in New Jersey, while the Rams are ranked 319th in Pennsylvania).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peddie). They really took it to St. Luke's for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-21 victory. With the Falcons ahead 33-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Blair Academy better keep an eye on Jeremiah Davis. He was instrumental in Peddie's win, rushing for 116 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while also picking up 44 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Davis is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't). Kadin Huling was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

Peddie was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. They are 2-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Peddie, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Davis, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Blair Academy picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Peddie, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Blair Academy against Peddie in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 win. Will the Bucs repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
