Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Valley Christian River Hawks were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-48 to the Stephens Roadrunners. The River Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Chase Rambo, who posted 19 points. Rambo continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kole McGhee, who had 13 points.

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Stephens, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stephens, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-71 win against Legacy Academy on the 8th.
