Baseball Recap: Fairview Beats Chaparral for Their Third Straight Win

Fairview was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out the Chaparral Wolverines 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Waymire, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Fairview is undefeated when Waymire posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Leo Muth, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Chaparral, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Coming up, Fairview will be playing at home against Legacy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lightning will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chaparral, they will head out to challenge Castle View at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sabercats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
