Melbourne came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Yellville-Summit Panthers 6-0. The Bearkatz might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

Melbourne's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kallie Thornton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Maggie Pierson was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Melbourne's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Yellville-Summit, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Melbourne nor Yellville-Summit have any future games scheduled.
