Basketball Recap: Derryfield Takes a Loss

Derryfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Mascoma Royals, falling 72-24. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly 48 points.

Derryfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mascoma, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Derryfield will challenge Prospect Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Prospect Mountain will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Derryfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mascoma, they will face off against Winnisquam at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mascoma is facing Winnisquam at the right time seeing as Winnisquam is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
