Basketball Recap: Bo Washell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Moshannon Valley over Northern Cambria

Moshannon Valley lost against Northern Cambria back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels lost to the Northern Cambria Colts on the road by a 49-33 margin. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights/Damsels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 662nd, while the Colts are ranked 211th).

Moshannon Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bo Washell, who posted nine points and six rebounds. Kaden Mills was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Moshannon Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Moshannon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Northern Cambria, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Moshannon Valley nor Northern Cambria have any future games scheduled.
