Volleyball Recap: Gillett Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Gillett and Niagara squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gillett had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss on October 7th.

Gillett started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-9.

Gillett's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Niagara, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Gillett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niagara, they will face off against Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
