Softball Game Preview: Normandy Invaders vs. Bay Rockets

The Normandy Invaders will head out to face off against the Bay Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Normandy and four for Bay.

Normandy managed to slip by Lakewood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Invaders came up short against the Rangers on Monday, falling 8-1.

Normandy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lindsay Meriwether, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Bay suffered their closest defeat since April 22, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of North Olmsted by a score of 8-6.

Olivia Stehlik was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Normandy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-7.

Everything went Normandy's way against Bay in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Normandy made off with a 6-0 victory. Do the Invaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
