Baseball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cleveland can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sylmar Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cavaliers have suffered against the Spartans since February 26, 2015.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Sylmar, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Cleveland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sylmar, they will square off against Venice at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2, the Gondoliers 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
