Baseball Recap: Vinton Takes a Loss

Vinton lost against Natchitoches Central on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions lost 11-1 to the Chiefs. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vinton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Natchitoches Central, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-8.

Coming up, Vinton will venture away from home to challenge Pickering at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.79 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Natchitoches Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs are on a nine-game streak of home wins, the Tigers a seven-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
