Football Recap: Hollins Takes a Loss

Hollins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-0 to the Dunedin Falcons. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Sophira Tith threw for 51 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Geolisa Ford was her top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Hollins' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dunedin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Coming up, Hollins will welcome Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hollins is facing Largo at the right time seeing as Largo is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Dunedin, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Dunedin: 7.3, Lakewood: 11.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
