Last Friday, Windber was able to grind out a solid win over North Star, taking the game 27-19. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ramblers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windber to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ike Serenko, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. Serenko got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 63 yards. Another passer making a difference was Ace Kolson, who threw for 192 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Windber was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Windber didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dylan Woodruff and Serenko.

Meanwhile, Everett never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over North Star. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Windber better keep an eye on Jakobe Harman. He was instrumental in Everett's win, rushing for 284 yards and two scores while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Harman's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 174 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Windber's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Everett, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Windber has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 220.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Everett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 288.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything came up roses for Windber against Everett in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-7 win. Do the Ramblers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
