Volleyball Game Preview: Grove City Greyhounds vs. Worthington Kilbourne Wolves

The Grove City Greyhounds will venture away from home to square off against the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Grove City came up short against New Albany on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Greyhounds have suffered against the Eagles since September 6, 2022.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Worthington Kilbourne made easy work of Hayes on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Pacers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Worthington Kilbourne took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-15.

Grove City's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Worthington Kilbourne, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's contest: Grove City has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Worthington Kilbourne struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
