Basketball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur lost against Berkner back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The MacArthur Cardinals fell to the Berkner Rams 63-57. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 784th, while the Rams are ranked 195th).

MacArthur's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Berkner, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.

MacArthur will take on Dallas Jesuit in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berkner and Lake Highlands will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berkner knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Lake Highlands likes a good challenge.
