Soccer Recap: Grand Prairie Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Grand Prairie Gophers came up short against the Lamar Vikings and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Gophers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Vikings are ranked 112th).

This is the second loss in a row for Grand Prairie and nudges their season record down to 3-9-8. As for Lamar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1-7.

Grand Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lamar, they will venture away from home to face off against Southwest at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
