Basketball Game Preview: Mastery Warrior vs. KIPP Cooper Norcross Titans

The Mastery Warrior are taking a road trip to square off against the KIPP Cooper Norcross Titans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Mastery took their contest with ease, bagging an 84-34 victory over Gateway Regional. The Warrior have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, KIPP Cooper Norcross won against Palmyra on Tuesday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. KIPP Cooper Norcross walked away with a 51-40 win over Bordentown. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Scotties are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mastery is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for KIPP Cooper Norcross, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6.
