Doniphan West had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Jackson Heights Cobras. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Doniphan West got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Kayte Falk and Belle Smith, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Courtney Johnson and her 22 assists. Emmyjo Whetstine controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Doniphan West's victory bumped their record up to 22-15. As for Jackson Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-21 record this season.

Doniphan West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Lyndon on the 25th. As for Jackson Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kansas City Christian School on the 20th.
