Baseball Recap: Loyalton Comes Up Short

Loyalton easily dispatched Burney on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Quincy Trojans by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Thor Corcoran made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Ryland Martinetti was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Loyalton's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Quincy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Loyalton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-6 win against Chester on the 24th. As for Quincy, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Modoc on the 24th.
