Volleyball Recap: Garfield Heights Takes a Loss

The Garfield Heights Bulldogs came up short against the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees on Monday, falling 3-0.

Garfield Heights couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Brecksville-Broadview Heights a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 33-31, 25-14, 25-15.

Tai'Mere Mixson paced Garfield Heights' offense, picking up six kills. Mixson got some help from Taaran Johnson and his 15 assists. Finally, Mixson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Garfield Heights now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.

Garfield Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against St. Martin de Porres on the 25th. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Hudson on the 24th.
