Basketball Recap: DSST: Cedar Piles Up the Points Against DSST: College View

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DSST: Cedar). They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 84-29 win over the DSST: College View Wolves. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

DSST: Cedar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raniya Paul, who posted 17 points and five steals. Paul is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amaya Paul, who earned 13 points and five steals.

Despite the loss, DSST: College View still got an impressive performance from Da'Naiya Hickey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. That was a full 62.1% of DSST: College View's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Aaliya Brown was another key player, putting up three points.

DSST: Cedar's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for DSST: College View, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

DSST: Cedar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-43 loss against The Vanguard School on the 15th. DSST: College View has also already played their next contest, a 30-27 victory against DSST: Conservatory Green on the 17th.
