Baseball Recap: Trinity Leadership Takes a Loss

Trinity Leadership fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Keene on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 7-6. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Jaden Fallesen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Trinity Leadership is 2-1 when Fallesen posts three or more RBI, but 4-11-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Frost, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Trinity Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 6-12-1. As for Keene, they pushed their record up to 9-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Leadership will venture away from home to square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.67 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Keene, they are taking a road trip to challenge Village Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Viper Squid will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
