Basketball Recap: Crooms Academy Piles Up the Points Against Burns Sci-Tech

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Crooms Academy's strategy against Burns Sci-Tech on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Crooms Academy Panthers blew the Burns Sci-Tech Eagles out of the water with a 77-36 final score. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Crooms Academy found their leader in sophomore Julian Gill, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 24 points. The contest was Gill's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenai Anderson, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Crooms Academy pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for Burns Sci-Tech, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Crooms Academy has already played their next matchup, a 72-63 defeat against Lyman on the 14th. As for Burns Sci-Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-16 loss against Hampden DuBose Academy on the 13th.
