            Baseball Recap: Robinson Maroons vs. South Knox Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Teutopolis, Robinson was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the South Knox Spartans  9-8. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Maroons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
 Reese Baker looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  walk any time he's  pitched this season.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Brysen Legg, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Braylon Murray, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Robinson was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .387. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Robinson now  has a winning record of 6-5. As for South Knox,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will host Casey-Westfield  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for South Knox, they will welcome Washington  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
