Soccer Game Preview: Pasquotank County vs. Currituck County

Pasquotank County is 1-9 against Currituck County since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Pasquotank County has given up an average of 6.8 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pasquotank County fell victim to First Flight and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Nighthawks, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Pasquotank County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 544th, while First Flight are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, Currituck County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Gators.

Pasquotank County's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 1-10-1. As for Currituck County, they now have a winning record of 7-6-2.

Pasquotank County might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Currituck County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
