Basketball Recap: Olympia Comes Up Short

Olympia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 65-52 loss to the Monmouth-Roseville Titans.

Olympia's record is now 4-7. As for Monmouth-Roseville, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympia will head out to square off against Midwest Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympia is facing Midwest Central at the right time seeing as Midwest Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Monmouth-Roseville, they will head out on the road to take on East Moline United at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Moline United will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Monmouth-Roseville surely won't give up without a fight.
