Baseball Recap: Fordham Prep Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Fordham Prep won the last time they faced All Hallows and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rams never let the Gaels get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Ashton Villarba looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Hudson Medeck was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Ty Chuang also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Fordham Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

With the victory, Fordham Prep broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-11. As for All Hallows, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Fordham Prep will welcome Archbishop Stepinac at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for All Hallows, they have already played their next contest, a 10-4 loss against Iona Prep on the 8th.
